Jawaharlal Nehru says "A moment comes, which comes but rarely in history, when we step out from the old to the new; when an age ends; and when the soul of a nation long suppressed finds utterance." -the Independence Day of India is celebrated by Viya Citizenship team for all our brothers, friends and future prospects in India!
14th of August is the Independence Day of the brother of a country for Turkey- Pakistan. We celebrate the Independence Day of Pakistan as if our own and we commemorate our shared values and history on this day. One of the most prominent among those shared values is Allame Iqbal- Dr. Muhammed Iqbal is "the spiritual founder of Pakistan" and a leader of Tahrik-i Pakistan or Pakistan Movement.
One of his most prominent influences comes from one of the "spiritual founders of Turkey"- Mevlana/Mawlana Jalal-al-Din Muhammad Rumi or shortly Rumi. Allame Iqbal defines Rumi as "Pir e Rumi" or "Master from Anatolia" and himself as "Murid-i Hindi" or "Disciple from India". Coming to Anatolia from the cultural geography of modern day Pakistan (precisely from Balkh) and becoming the largest cultural contribution to slowly thriving Turkish Anatolia of the Sultanate of Rum- Rumi is definitely one of the "spiritual founders of Turkey" as Iqbal is the "spiritual founder of Pakistan".
Turkey and Pakistan- us and our brothers, friends and future clients from Pakistan are connected as Rumi is connected to Allame Iqbal. Happy Independence Day to Pakistan!

We are devastated by the tragic explosion that happened in Lebanon. Our hearts, prayers and minds are with Lebanon and with those lives lost and those families affected.
As Brexit procedures go on, each country within or out of EU tries to figure out how to manage the further relationships with United Kingdom. Turkey, having UK as its second largest trade partner, just before Germany, is among them- yet with great success. Indeed, as per the latest announcement of Turkey's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mevlüt Çavusoglu- Turkey is very close to signing an FTA or Free Trade Agreement with UK, especially on manufactured goods, agriculture and services. After HE Çavusoglu's meeting with UK Foreign Minister Dominic Raab, UK authorities also confirmed the talks are "going well".
News by Financial Times underlines that there are 2500 UK firms operating in Turkey and many TR firms in UK as well. There are also estimated 350.000-400.000 Turks living in UK, benefiting from Ankara Agreement. Mr. Çavusoglu confirmed that, apart from the FTA, an agreement similar to the Ankara Agreement that allowed Turkish people to live and work in the UK freely is being negotiated.
Applicants of Turkish Citizenship from Hong Kong, China, India, Bangladesh and Vietnam have, among their top motivations, access to UK and US- enabled by Ankara Agreement.
